Vorflux launches with $15M seed as an engineering “autopilot”

VorfluxAI has launched and disclosed a $15 million seed round, drawing attention because of both its product thesis and its founder background. Rather than positioning itself as a conventional AI coding copilot, the company says it is building an “autopilot” for software engineering that can take on more of the full workflow with less step-by-step human confirmation. Posts also note that founder Prasanna previously co-founded Rippling and served as its CTO.

According to reposted launch materials, Vorflux argues that many current AI coding tools still keep the developer in the driver’s seat, repeatedly approving actions along the way. Its goal is a more automated workflow that lets models handle a larger share of the software engineering process end to end. One repost adds that the team says it has already been using the system for months internally.

Funding and reactions

The company said it raised a $15 million seed round, with investors including Y Combinator, Peak XV, and AllianceDAO. Separately, Matt Shumer said that after trying Vorflux, he considered it the best coding agent he had used and significantly stronger than Devin, and that he decided to invest immediately.

Technical claims mentioned by testers

Shumer also said Vorflux combines multiple testing harnesses, which in his view produces better results than relying on a single harness or a single model. He added that it remained strong even when using cheaper models.
