Rabbit R1 Gets rabbitOS 2.3 Update with Hermes Agent

Rabbit has officially rolled out the rabbitOS 2.3 OTA update to its R1 devices. The most significant change in this update is the integration of the open-source Hermes Agent from NousResearch, greatly expanding the device's autonomous execution capabilities.

Key Details and Features

With this update, users can directly invoke the Hermes Agent on the R1 device to initiate conversations and execute tasks. Additionally, users can install the desktop rabbit agent into Rabbithole's nodes to enable linked operations with the R1. Beyond the core Hermes Agent, version 2.3 also introduces several other features, including Proactive Rabbit, OpenClaw v4, Creations Gallery 1.5, and DLAM BYOK.

Device Positioning and Future Plans

Simon Balmain noted that thanks to new capabilities like multi-agent integration, the Rabbit R1 is transitioning from a simple AI gadget into a "multi-agent console in your pocket." Furthermore, the Rabbit team revealed that after rolling out version 2.3, they are already preparing for the next-generation operating system, OS 3.
