OpenHands Releases Agent Canvas 1.21

On July 11, OpenHands released version 1.21 of the Agent Canvas, an open-source project. This update focuses on multi-tool and long-task workflows, introducing six feature enhancements at once that significantly improve agent configuration efficiency and interaction.

Core Features and Workflow Optimization

The new version introduces **Agent Profiles**, allowing users to save sets of agents, models, and parameters as reusable workflow templates. For long-running tasks, the `/goal` command has been enhanced to directly display run status, judge scores, and rounds. Additionally, users can now branch sub-conversations from any message, making it easier to explore alternative task paths while preserving the original context.

Plugin and Interaction Upgrades

Regarding tool management, Agent Canvas has added a unified plugin management center, allowing users to browse, install, enable, disable, and uninstall plugins in one directory. The system also supports pre-mounting plugins before a run starts, ensuring the agent has the correct execution capabilities when the conversation is created. For interactive navigation, the version adopts Command-K as a global shortcut to invoke a unified search menu for quickly finding actions, pages, and settings without losing the current conversation context.
