On July 9, AI music platform Suno announced a major upgrade to its web-based lyric writing features. The update deeply integrates AI generation with editing to provide a smarter creative experience, and the full changelog has been released.

The new version allows users to generate lyrics by describing their needs in natural language directly in the chat bar. For editing, users can highlight a single word to get rhyme suggestions or highlight an entire line to generate four alternative versions.

Style Mimicry and Auto-Save

In addition to basic writing assistance, Suno introduced a stylized writing feature: users can upload their own writing samples to create a custom "lyricist," allowing the model to mimic their personal style.
